About Villa Cardano
My name is Peter and I am the owner of Villa Cardano and your host. I bought the Villa in 2014 from its former owners, a well-established family from Milano who had the building over generations in their possession. The building was in a poor condition. So, it took me more than four years to renovated the building and to equip it with all amenities of modern life.
Today the villa is equipped with

- floor-to-ceiling windows that allow a panoramic view over the city of Como,Lake Como and Switzerland to three of the fours sides
- new and cosy box-spring beds
- modern and fully equipped bathrooms and kitchenettes, and
- direct access via the staircase to the 270° panoramic roof terrace
When I bought the villa, I realized that it was too big (and too expensive) for one family. Therefore I converted what was once the holiday retreat for one wealthy Italian family into a modern 3-apartment building. While I use with my family the first floor, I rent the other two floors to holiday guests.
We have the studio for 2 guests located at the ground floor. The studio has a direct access to the garden and gardenview.
The other apartment is the penthouse for up to 6 guests on the top floor. The penthouse has three separate rooms (two bedrooms with king size beds and one living room with a convertable sofa which can be also turned into a very comfortbale king size bed), two bathrooms and an additional kitchen with dinner table. All the windows in the penthouse have a panaromic view and the corner bedroom where you wake up with the morning sun over with a view over the city and Lake Como is the highlight of the penthouse.
Both apartements have also access to the roof top terrace which has - also according to locals - the most spectacular view over the city and Lake Como.
